You'll Need:
- Colored Silk Thread (of your choice)
- Glue
- Pair of Scissors
- Picture of God and Goddess / religious symbols (of your choice)
- Cotton Thread
- Mauli
- Plain Paper
How To Make Auspicious Rakhi:
- Measure the silk thread to 30 inches length.
- Gather a bunch of similar silk threads in different colors of the same length.
- Fold the bunch of threads into half, that is to 15 inches.
- Tie a knot at both the ends of the bunch with the help of the cotton thread.
- Take mauli and create a shape out of it, like a circle or a square.
- After making it, paste it on a paper using glue.
- After it has dried, stick it to the thread which you have already made.
- When the rakhi base and thread is ready, paste the religious symbols, pictures of Gods and Goddesses on the base.
- Allow the symbol to dry out completely.
- Your rakhi is ready to be tied on the wrist of your loving brother.
