Lakshmi Aarti

Maa Lakshmi, who is the Indian goddess of wealth, is worshipped in every home and office of India. The worship or pujan of Goddess Lakshmi is always followed by the recital of the Mahalaxmi aarti (hymn). As per Indian beliefs, who so ever prays to the compassionate goddess Lakshmi gets bestowed with wealth, fortune and prosperity! During the festival of Dipawali dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi each year, elaborate prayer is held in every Indian home. The singing of the hymn or aarti of Maa Lakshmi is held at the end of the prayer session.

Maa Lakshmi arti says - O mother! In whichever house you stay, the members of that house do not fear anything and are constantly blessed by your divine presence. It is because of you Ma Lakshmi that the world is sustained, people get food to eat and clothes to wear. If your blessings are not with us, then we are merely ignorant beings. It is due to you, Goddess that our ignorance is driven away and our future becomes bright. The one who sings the aarti of goddess Lakshmi gets rid of all afflictions and reaches on a higher spiritual plane.
