Vishnu Aarti

Lord Vishnu is also known by the name Narayana. The Vishnu Sahasranama (list of 1000 names of Vishnu) describes Him as the All-Pervading essence of all beings. Vishnu is the master of and beyond the past, present and future as well as the creator and destroyer of all existences. The hymn dedicated to Lord Vishnu is known as Shri Vishnu aarti.

It is believed that Lord Vishnu shields all his followers who sing his aarti from sorrow and evil. The lord is given the highest position as the parents of the devotee. He is, thus, encharged with the responsibility of overlooking the welfare of his children. The Shri Hari Vishnu arti is popularly sung in all the Hindu temples across the country and beyond.

Om jai Jagadish Hare, swami jai Jagadish Hare,
Bhakt janon ke sankat, shan men dur kare, Om jai...
Jo dhyave phal pave, dukh Vinshe man ka,
Sukh sampati ghar ave, kasht mite tan ka, Om jai...
Matpita tum mere sharan gahun main kiski,
Tum bin aur na duja, as karun main jiski, Om jai...
Tum puran Parmatma, tum antaryami,
Parbrahma parmeshvar tum sab ke svami, Om jai...
Tum karuna ke sagar, tum palan karta,
Main murakh khal kami, kripa karo bharta, Om jai...
Tum ho ek agochar, sabe ke pranpati.
kis vidh milun dayamai, tum ko main kumati, Om jai...
Din bandhu dukh harta, tum rakshak mere,
Apne hath uthao, dvar pada main tere, Om jai...
Vishai vikar mitao, pap haro deva,
Shradha bhakti badhao, santan ki seva, Om jai...
Tan man dhan jo kuchh hai, sab hi hai tera,
Tera tujhko arpan, kya laga mera, Om jai....
